Going out for brunch has become more and more popular over the years. On the weekends, enjoying a nice brunch can be better than enjoying a nice dinner! If your restaurant serves brunch, then it's important to put some thought and planning into the menu and execution. Here are a couple of ways you can create an upscale brunch restaurant.

Develop a few "feature" menu items.

A number of customers may want something classic like pancakes or eggs. As such, you don't want to take these items off your menu. However, you do want to make sure you also have a few luxury feature menu items that are more upscale. Steak and eggs prepared in a unique way are a good choice. You could also create a few fancy waffles or signature eggs Benedict. Let your chef get creative, but stick to three or four of these feature dishes to ensure they get the focus they deserve.

Introduce endless cocktails.

Cocktails are a part of a luxurious brunch for a lot of diners. If you really want to make your guests feel pampered, you can include an endless cocktail option on the menu. You may just want to offer some cocktail, like a mimosa, in this manner. Or, you can create a few signature cocktails to offer in this way. A few guests might truly drink a lot of cocktails, but many may purchase the unlimited option and still only have two or three. As such, this can be a good money-maker for you as well as something that brings guests in.

Serve truly good coffee.

You can serve the most amazing brunch, but if the coffee isn't great, that's what guests may remember. Good-quality coffee beans are worth the price. Look for some nice, single-origin beans. Advertise, on your brunch menu, where the coffee is from. If you have the equipment to do so, consider serving some espresso drinks rather than plain drip coffee. Guests will really love being able to order a cappuccino, latte, or Americano alongside their brunch, especially when these coffee drinks are well made.

If you implement one or more of the changes above, you can take your restaurant's brunch to the next level. Don't be afraid to think outside the box and experiment a little, too. If your brunch is unique from that offered at other restaurants, guests will come back for the variety.
